Dog Beds - K9 Slumber

There is a vast and varied range of dog beds available. My small dog actually sleeps with us and expects to be put to bed, but she also has a couple of day beds.

If I could teach her to sleep by herself I would purchase the very special four poster dog bed which is pictured below. I think it is the utmost in doggy luxury. It looks great and I can just see my little girl sound asleep in it.

There are dog beds for all shapes and sizes of dogs, from your miniature indoor puppy to your large outside dog. They are available in many colours and designs and you are sure to be able to find one to suit your dog. There are even orthopaedic dog beds.

It is extremely wise, not only from a comfort point of view, but for your pets health to provide a comfortable bed for them. A comfortable bed, which offers support, will delay the onset of arthritis in your dog.

You have your basic camp-bed style to your lap of luxury four poster bed, which is my favourite. Of course the prices vary, but amazingly the four poster bed is relatively cheap.

There is such a wide variety of pet beds available, that you could take weeks to choose one. Your decision can be made simpler by taking into account the following criteria.

1: Size of dog.

2: Breed of dog - excess hair etc.

3: Location of sleeping quarters.

4: Budget available.

5: Ease of maintenance and cleaning desired.

6: Dogs health status.

7: Decor

I find these doggy beds absolutely adorable. I can just see my dog in one of these. You could even decorate it appropiately. They would showcase my dog off as the spoiled little baby that she is. I think she is a princess and one of these beds would be perfect for her.

The first two are suitable for outside use and are mainly used for larger dogs. They are extremely basic but provide your pet with adequate bedding that can easily be kept clean. You can also buy replacement bedding for the first two beds. The top two beds are Ideal if you want to hose under your dog's bed and it keeps moisture away from the dogs bedding. This style of bed is practical and hygienic, while providing adequate comfort for your pet.

The second two beds are a bit flasher but are better for under shelter. They keep your dog above ground level but cannot be hosed under. They do have more padding though and your dog would be extremely comfortable in them.

These are your basic quilted, padded flat beds. They are simple but come in a wide range of designs and colours. They all are very easy to keep clean and maintain.

Most dogs manage to snuggle into them very well. They seem to be very comfortable and most can be washed, by hand. They can be moved very easily and are a very popular variety of pet bed. These versatile beds are available in many sizes and you are sure to find one to suit your pet and your decor.
